The last true Conrail unit I photographed on NS. When I moved to Atlanta in 2000, there was a lot more Conrail and a lot less skyscrapers behind the Atlanta Waterworks smokestack.

Happy Thanksgiving 2012! Today I am thankful for a few original paint Conrail blue engines remaining in mainline service. NS 5424 sits in Shenandoah a beautiful holiday morning.
